Privacy terms for the Falkor app

Falkor is a style-focused community space built around French updos, shark clip aesthetics, accessory inspiration, AI-generated reference imagery, guided image-and-text creation, and user sharing. This page explains what information may be received through the app, how it may be handled, and what choices are available to users.

Effective Date: January 17, 2026

1. Data Collection

Information received through Falkor may fall into a few different categories depending on how the app is used. When a person creates an account, contacts support, publishes content, or participates in community features, the app may receive details such as a name or username, email address, profile information, messages sent to support, images uploaded by the user, captions, prompts, and other material submitted for style sharing or guided creation tools.

Technical records may also be generated automatically. These can include device type, operating system version, app version, language settings, approximate region, identifiers used to maintain app performance, crash diagnostics, and interaction data such as screens viewed, session timing, feature engagement, and general in-app activity.

Certain tools may request sensitive device permissions where relevant to the feature being used. For example, photo library or camera access may be needed if a user chooses to upload hairstyle inspiration, create reference content, or save generated images. If contacts, precise location, or similar permissions are ever requested, they are intended to support a visible feature inside the app and remain subject to the user’s device settings and consent choices.

Falkor may also work with third-party software development kits and infrastructure tools that assist with hosting, analytics, moderation, performance monitoring, authentication, and content delivery. Those tools may process limited technical and usage data in order to operate properly.

Falkor is not designed to gather more information than is reasonably needed for account operation, community participation, content creation, safety review, and app improvement.

2. Data Usage

The information handled by Falkor may be used to run the app, maintain user accounts, display shared content, support AI-assisted reference image generation, personalize the browsing experience, respond to questions, troubleshoot errors, detect abuse, and keep community spaces functioning safely.

Usage information may also help refine design decisions, understand which features are most useful, reduce spam or fraudulent activity, and improve overall reliability. Content submitted by users may be processed to provide requested outputs, including image-and-text generation workflows or organization of style inspiration feeds.

In some cases, contact details or app activity may be used to send service-related notices, feature announcements, security alerts, or policy updates. If promotional or marketing communications are offered, users may opt out where the law requires or where the app provides that option.

Falkor does not sell personal information in the ordinary meaning of that term. Information may, however, be shared with service providers, contractors, moderation partners, legal advisers, or business counterparties when needed to operate the app, protect rights, enforce rules, complete internal business functions, or meet legal obligations.

3. Data Storage & Security

Data related to Falkor may be stored on cloud-based infrastructure, secured databases, content storage systems, and internal administrative tools used for support, moderation, and platform maintenance. Depending on how the service is operated, information may be processed in the United States or in other jurisdictions where service providers maintain facilities.

Reasonable safeguards are applied to reduce the risk of unauthorized access, misuse, alteration, or loss. These measures may include encrypted transmission, access controls, authentication layers, logging, rate limiting, environment separation, and role-based restrictions for internal staff or contractors.

No digital platform can guarantee absolute security. For that reason, Falkor encourages users to choose strong passwords, limit what they share publicly, and contact support promptly if they believe their account or content has been exposed.

Retention periods depend on the purpose for which information was received. Account details, support records, user submissions, moderation history, and system logs may be kept for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the app, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, prevent abuse, and maintain appropriate business records. When information is no longer needed, it may be deleted, anonymized, or aggregated.

4. Third-Party Services

Falkor may rely on outside providers for functions such as cloud hosting, analytics, content delivery, account verification, payments if introduced, automated moderation, customer support, notifications, and AI-related processing. These providers may receive limited information only to the extent required for the service they perform on behalf of the app.

Some third-party components may place or access identifiers, log technical events, or process uploads in order to return requested results. Their handling of information is governed by their own terms and privacy practices in addition to any contractual limitations imposed by Falkor.

If the app links to external websites, communities, or social platforms, activity that takes place outside the Falkor environment is not governed by this page. Users should review the privacy terms of those separate services before interacting with them.

5. User Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

Depending on where a user lives, privacy laws may provide specific rights regarding personal information. These may include the ability to ask for access to the data associated with an account, request correction of inaccurate details, request deletion of certain records, receive a copy of information in a portable format where applicable, limit certain uses, or object to particular forms of processing.

California residents may also have rights related to disclosure, deletion, correction, and the ability to opt out of certain data-sharing practices where required by law. Individuals located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or similar jurisdictions may have additional rights under GDPR or local privacy legislation.

Requests can be submitted by emailing support@falkor.com. To protect account security, Falkor may ask for enough information to verify the identity of the requester before acting on a request. Some information may be retained if necessary for fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, safety enforcement, or recordkeeping obligations.

Users who no longer want marketing messages may use any unsubscribe option provided in the communication, adjust account settings where available, or contact support directly.

6. Children's Privacy

Falkor is intended only for adults and older users who meet the app’s age requirements. It is not directed to children under 18, and the app should not be used by anyone below that age threshold.

Falkor does not knowingly solicit or maintain personal information from children under 13, and it is not built as a child-directed service under COPPA. If it becomes apparent that information from a minor has been provided in violation of this policy, reasonable steps may be taken to remove the account, delete the relevant information, and restrict further access.

Parents or guardians who believe a minor may have submitted information to Falkor may contact support@falkor.com for review.

7. Policy Updates

This privacy page may change from time to time as Falkor evolves, introduces new features, revises internal practices, responds to legal developments, or adjusts how data flows through the app.

When updates are made, the revised version may be posted within the app, on the website, or both, and the effective date shown at the top will be updated accordingly. For material changes, additional notice may be provided through in-app messaging, account notifications, email, or another reasonable communication method.

Continued use of Falkor after an updated policy takes effect means the current version will apply to future use of the app, subject to any rights available under applicable law.

8. Contact Information

Questions about this Privacy Policy, requests regarding personal information, or notices relating to privacy and data handling may be directed to the Falkor support team.
